ABOUT THE CONCERT 

The medieval text about the suffering of a mother who sees her son dying on the cross is now an integral part of Christian Easter. It is so powerful that it has been set to music by numerous composers. Antonín Dvořák's music is exceptionally imbued with emotions, but also with deep humility towards God and infinite hope.
