Subscription Series I 2024/2025

ABOUT THE SUBSCRIPTION

Series I will begin festively with the same programme heard 130 years ago (almost to the day) at the first concert of the Czech Chamber Music Society. This series will offer the most diverse programming of all, ranging from the Renaissance to the music of living composers.

We will also not overlook the Year of Czech Music, so we will hear Dvořák, Smetana, and Fibich. We can look forward to the first Czech appearance by Trio Zimbalist, an ensemble of Curtis Institute graduates
(including Josef Špaček, who is very familiar to audiences at the Rudolfinum). The concert under the patronage of this year’s curator Petr Popelka and Adam Plachetka’s recital promise to be special experiences. We will also hear the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra led by Czech Philharmonic concertmaster Jan Mráček. We will conclude the series by combining music with words: Kryštof Harant’s travelogue performed by Saša Rašilov and the ensemble Cappella Mariana.
