The National Theatre
Senior Cycle I
The first of the popular afternoon cycles will be filled with soaring tones, accompanied by stories of guilt and punishment, magical symbols around us, and lively puppets. We will enrich your autumn months with Dmitri Shostakovich's musical drama Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District, followed by the enchanting The Magic Flute directed by Vladimír Morávek at the Estates Theatre. This will be followed by a selection of arias from Smetana's operas, and we will conclude the season with the ballet Coppélia.
