ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
The Ondráš Military Art Ensemble has been on the art scene for 70 years. For its anniversary, it has prepared a gala program full of music and dance, which will take place on 19 October 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Janáček Theatre in Brno and will offer a cross-section of the artistic output of this unique ensemble accompanied by impressive video projections. You will have the opportunity to see choreographies from the beginnings of the ensemble, the former Military Song and Dance Ensemble Jánošík, through the successful programme numbers of the 1990s, when Jánošík became Ondráš, to the current work of the last 10 years. The stage will feature, among other things, excerpts from the programmes Tales Told by Dance, Devil’s Tales, Twelve, The Story of the Bandit and Year after Year. The programme will also be enriched by many guests – former members who will meet again on one stage across generations.
The Military Song and Dance Ensemble Jánošík – today the Military Art Ensemble Ondráš, two different names but only one soul, which has been forming the ensemble for 70 years
