Chimney - Letní Letná 2025

Documentary and movement performance about chimneys and on chimneys, which brings the facts, but also the emotions associated with this symbol of the industrial era. Currently, many demolitions of disused chimneys happen. However, with their demolition, the memory of the place is also disappearing. Can these buildings be preserved?
Spectators are seated in beach chairs. Each deckchair also comes with a headset with commentary audio based on interviews with chimney experts and members of the Association of Czech Chimney Sweeps.
The movement of the three performers on the chimney illuminates its physical parameters; its dimensions, stability, massiveness and material, but above all its inherent verticality.

Since the chimney cannot be moved, the performance is performed outside the Letní Letná festival area, you can find it in the area of ​​the Stará čistírna odpadních vod, Prague 6 - Bubeneč.
