A love triangle, a forest, and disguises – The Two Gentlemen of Verona has it all. Shakespeare's gloriously silly story of love, friendship and growing up bursts onto the stage of The Estates Theater in a new 70-minute modern English verse translation by Amelia Rope that's the perfect introduction to Shakespeare for families. King John
Prague Shakespeare Company in partnership with Play On Shakespeare presents King John by William Shakespeare in a modern verse translation by Brighde Mullins. Directed by Guy Roberts.
A mad world of mad kings, teetering on the brink of disaster. Richard the Lionheart is dead. His brother John is King of England. Threatened from all sides by Europe, the English noblemen and even his own family, King John will stop at nothing to keep hold of his crown. Shakespeare’s rarely performed tale of a nation in turmoil vibrates with modern resonance in this vivid new production by PSC Artistic Director Guy Roberts in a modern English verse translation by Brighde Mullins with additional support from the Hitz Foundation and Play On Shakespeare.
