Intrigues and desperate passion can also be found in the lively opera The Elixir of Love by Gaetano Donizetti, where the simpleton Nemorino falls in love with the wealthy Adina and tries to win her over with a magical elixir. However, he encounters a boastful soldier and a cunning fraudster...

Well-drawn character portrayals await you in the drama Mephisto, based on the novel of the same name by Klaus Mann. Its protagonist Hendrik Höfgen, portrayed by Robert Mikluš, deeply loves success and the theatre, for which he is willing to do anything.

We bid farewell with the enchantment of art, further enhanced by sensuality and physical beauty, in the ballet Scheherazade with music by Rimsky-Korsakov and choreography by Mauro Bigonzetti, created specifically for the National Theatre and presented in its world premiere.
