Moon Odyssey – By the Window

Set in a pleasantly exaggerated dystopian future, somewhere between Jupiter’s eighth and ninth moons, the story Moon Odyssey follows a lonely astronaut whose onboard Artificial Intelligence has been hiding one crucial fact from him: the spacecraft lost contact with Earth fifteen years ago. The performance combines juggling, object manipulation, dance, and visual art into a playful spectacle about transience, communication, and the desire to glimpse something “beyond the glass.”

Jan Hlavsa – Moon Odyssey – The Beginning

Set in a pleasantly exaggerated dystopian future, somewhere between Jupiter’s eighth and ninth moons, the story follows a lonely astronaut whose onboard Artificial Intelligence has been hiding one crucial fact from him: the spacecraft lost contact with Earth fifteen years ago.

What does everyday life aboard the ship look like, and what happens during a flight through a meteor shower? This contemporary circus miniature reveals the answers through technical juggling, original visual effects, and inventive work with shadow and light.

Work in Progress

Imagine a world that appears and disappears in a single gesture. On the glass surface of a large window, stories emerge and dissolve, transforming into a real world filled with dance and circus arts.

Two performers create a physical and visual dialogue around a large window that becomes a canvas, a mirror, and a boundary between worlds. Using a squeegee, they draw foam images onto the glass — only for them to dissolve and vanish moments later.

The performance combines juggling, object manipulation, dance, and visual art into a playful spectacle about transience, communication, and the desire to glimpse something “beyond the glass.”
