ABOUT THE CONCERT
While in February 2024 Maestro Ion Marin only briefly touched upon the works of Antonín Dvořák—through Dvořák's orchestration of the "Hungarian Dances"—a year later, it will be an entirely different story. On the podiums will be a pivotal work: Dvořák's Cello Concerto in B minor. And where there is Opus 104, there must be a top-notch cellist. For instance, the Grammy Award winner, a disciple of Mstislav Rostropovich, the Norwegian legend Truls Mørk. The second half of the evening will also belong to the sole composer, the jubilarian of 2025, Maurice Ravel, and his lively Spain, from "Alborada" to the "Bolero."
