An exhibition about the changes of the Petřín Hill in the past centuries. With the help of contemporary and historical photographs as well as period drawings and plans, a very ancient and now almost unknown phenomenon is presented - surface and underground mining on Petřín. The lively construction activity and social life at Petřín at the end of the 19th century is presented in the part of the exhibition dealing with the time of the tower's construction, the circumstances that led to its construction, the method of construction and the key role of the Czech Tourist Club. Historical plans show which Petřín paths were used by the first visitors to the tower, and thanks to the period clothing on display, visitors can get an idea of the style of dress and equipment worn by Prague's citizens and visitors in the last decades of the "long" 19th century.
