Ať žije Bouchon!

ABOUT THE PLAY

“Long Live Bouchon! is an almost absurd farce by two of today’s most frequently performed French playwrights, Jean Dell and Gérald Sibleyras, written in the finest tradition of unmistakable French humour.”

More and more residents are leaving the remote village of Bouchon in search of a better life, even though three local heroes led by the mayor try to keep them there with bribes. Nothing is perfect—quite the opposite. There is never enough money, and spray-painting walls simply is not enough. The final stroke of the mayor’s creativity is a request for three motorway exits. An inspection is coming to Bouchon!

Packed with wit, this situational comedy was a great success with Parisian audiences when it premiered and will entertain all age groups, including children aged 12 and over.
