ABOUT REDUTA JAZZ CLUB
Accept an invitation to a club that is a sought-after cultural monument and that has maintained a unique genius loci throughout its existence. Have a drink in the traditional Saxophone Bar, which offers a variety of drinks, including beer on tap from a golden saxophone.
The oldest continuously operating jazz and theater club in the world. Revolutionary music and theater scene and cultural monument. Since its foundation in 1957, the club has been the main seat of jazz throughout the Czech Republic.
In 2016, the British newspaper The Guardian recognized Reduta as one of the ten best jazz venues in Europe and included it among the elite venues of its kind. It gradually became more than a building, it is a concept and part of history, a cultural monument mentioned in professional publications and in foreign films.
The club is located in the very heart of Prague, a few steps from the National Theatre, the Old Town and Wenceslas Square. Service is provided by trained staff, and of course it is possible to reserve VIP seats where Václav Havel and Bill Clinton once sat.
