ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
The traditional gala show, the highlight of Juggling Day at Letní Letná, will once again present a selection of artists from the Czech Republic and abroad, including prominent names from the contemporary international juggling scene. Juggling appears here in many forms — from classic disciplines to contemporary experimental approaches — naturally intertwining with elements of dance, magic, acrobatics, light design, and object manipulation.
-Tennis Theatre push tennis into absurd and virtuosic territories that will make ordinary Wimbledon never feel quite the same again.
-Argentinian juggler Dani Corradi, known among other things for her collaboration with the company 7 Fingers, will bring precise contact juggling and club manipulation.
-Liam Wilson will present his distinctive piece Rhubarb, balancing on the edge of juggling, dance, mime, and visual illusion.
-Ukrainian performer Hennadii Bondarenko combines poi spinning, juggling, and acrobatics into a clean and dynamic
form of movement.
And the show’s dramaturg Vojta Stolbenko, known for his poi juggling skills, will premiere a completely different kind of act — a light manipulation performance using a never-before-seen custom-built prop of his own creation.
And we’re not done yet — the final name of this year’s Gala will be announced very soon!
The evening will be hosted by Bratři v Tricku!
