Immerse yourself in the world of timeless music at a concert that offers not only an unforgettable experience but also a remarkable connection between three composers. The energetic and lively Overture for Orchestra H. 345 by Bohuslav Martinů will be played at the beginning. It is replete with melodic inventiveness and fresh optimism. 

You will then hear one of the most beautiful violin works, Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D Major by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The lyrical melodies, the dramatic contrasts and the great technical difficulty that gives the performer room to create an exceptional performance - these are all essential aspects of this fascinating work. The soloist will be Timothy Chooi, a Canadian-American virtuoso who has won numerous awards, including the Queen Elisabeth Competition, and performs with the world's most prestigious orchestras. 

In the second part of the concert you will be fully immersed in the music of Sergei Prokofiev. In his symphonic suite from the ballet Romeo and Juliet, he translated the tragic story of the two young lovers into a musical language full of tension, emotion and beauty. The selection will bring both passionate and peaceful moments, and you will be reliving the story of this famous love together with the musicians. The compositions will be performed under the direction of the talented conductor Alevtina Ioffe.
