Description
Alžběta Jenická – You Have to Believe in Yourself
A graduation solo performance concluding studies at the circus school FLIC Scuola di Circo Torino.
The central theme — the journey toward self-belief and overcoming fear — is expressed through words, physical theatre, dance, and acrobatics.
Eliška Švecová – Babyball
“Where did it all begin?”
Patterns of behavior. Our desires. The values and beliefs we carry within us. The inner settings that shape our reactions, relationships, and view of the world.
A story balancing between present and past, exploring the degree of confrontation needed to set a conversation in motion. Layer by layer, it gently reflects on past events and creates space for dialogue that might, at least in some small way, change something.
Babyball is a contemporary performative piece combining physical theatre with object manipulation. It explores themes of intergenerational transmission, personal transformation, and respect.
In the middle of broken fragments, a mother and daughter confront one another in search of their own balance. They return to the place where they grew up, searching for quiet echoes stored within their bodily memory.
It is a story made of many stories.
“Are we capable of acting differently than before?”
Eliška is currently a student in the Master’s program at Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland.
Jana Štofániková – Aporia
…is like throwing a paper airplane into the air and simply waiting to see where it lands. You know there is some kind of destination, but you do not know “where.” You do not know “when.” And you do not even know “how.” And why should the “why” matter at all?
Meanwhile, the “someday” just keeps waiting and waiting and waiting. And waiting still…
That is my APORIA — as if the act itself were more important than any destination, as if there were no need to achieve anything at all.
APORIA explores the rediscovery of the present moment. It is a celebration of existence and an attempt to reconnect body and mind — to awaken sensitivity toward oneself and others, something that is often lost in today’s society under the pressure of speed, performance, constant decision-making, and the need to keep moving forward.
Aporia was created as a Master’s performance at Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland.
