K 2 - Ludmila Pavlová
Mendelssohn's twelve youthful string symphonies form the basis for his later Romantic symphonies. Our orchestra performs these works regularly and is therefore rightly considered a leading and respected interpreter of Mendelssohn's early symphonies. Our original program will enrich the concert with the lesser-known but highly original Romantic composer, engineer, and colonel Gyula Beliczay, whose serenade will be performed alongside Elgar's famous serenade. The evening will conclude with Gustav Holst's world-famous work.
