Who wouldn’t be familiar with hits such as Dancing Queen, Super Trouper or The Winner Takes It All by one of the most successful bands in the history of popular music? ABBA is a global phenomenon, and so is the musical Mamma Mia! This “jukebox musical” includes all of the best-known and beloved songs by this Swedish band of four and combines them into a thrilling story. Young Sophie wants to unravel the past of her mother Donna and find who her real father is. This all takes place under the warm Greek Sun with the sound of waves splashing and an upcoming wedding.

Over 54 million people in 40 countries has seen the Mamma Mia! since the musical’s opening night at the London West End (1999) and New York Broadway (2001). Each day, there are at least 7 productions performed across three continents. The musical was nominated for four Laurence Olivier Awards and five Tony Awards. In July 2008, it was adapted into a movie featuring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Brosnan in main roles.
