Collegium 1704 Baroque Orchestra, which focuses on early music with a predominant focus on the high Baroque period. Especially works of composer Jan Dismas Zelenka and his contemporaries. It was founded in 1991 by its conductor, horn player and harpsichordist Václav Luks. Since 2005 the ensemble expanded by vocal ensemble Collegium Vocale 1704 based on the occasion of an international music project "Bach - Prague - 2005".
Many recordings were valued domestic and international criticism of the magazine Diapason, Repertoire, Concerto, Fonoforum or Harmony. The recording of Zelenka's work Missa Votiva for the French label Zig-Zag Territoires (in collaboration with the festival in Sable) immediately after its release (August 2008) in France ranked among the TOP 10 Classique (ten best-selling CDs) and won the Coup de coeur (Intervention heart) French TV Mezzo.
Concerts Collegium 1704 & Collegium Vocale 1704 are often recorded or transmitted live European TV and radio stations - Mezzo, ORF, Deutschland Radio Berlin, Radio France, Radio 3 Vltava and EBU.
