ABOUT THE SHOW

The musical A Night at Karlštejn presents a complete, fully staged production with a star-studded cast and original design. It draws on the legendary production of the Karlín Music Theatre and retains the original costumes and scenery. Karel Svoboda’s music, elegance, romance and gentle humour create the unmistakable atmosphere of this timeless story.

The story of the young Empress Elizabeth of Pomerania, who breaks the rules for love and travels to Karlštejn Castle disguised as a man, offers both comic and moving moments about the power of love to overcome every obstacle. Audiences can look forward to the unique atmosphere of summer evenings beneath the open sky, accompanied by immortal melodies such as Lásko má, já stůňu and Hoja, hoj. Leading actors including Kateřina Brožová, Petr Štěpánek, Marek Vašut and Václav Vydra appear on stage.

The performance takes place at the Karlovy Vary Summer Cinema, Slovenská 2003/2A, 360 18 Karlovy Vary. Parking is available in the surrounding streets or at the Poštovní dvůr car park on Slovenská Street.

Žatec Summer Cinema
The performance takes place at the Žatec Summer Cinema, Jaroslava Vrchlického, 438 01 Žatec. Parking is available by the summer cinema, by the Lidl supermarket or at the Náměstí Kruhové car park on Obránců míru Avenue, within walking distance.

Písek Summer Cinema
The performance takes place at the Písek Summer Cinema, Na Výstavišti 439, 397 01 Písek. Parking is available at nearby car parks, for example by the ice rink or on Na Výstavišti Street.

Kuks Hospital
The performance takes place at Kuks Hospital, Kuks 81, 544 43 Kuks. Parking is available in the village opposite the hospital in designated car parks.

Plzeň Plaza Amphitheater
The performance takes place at Plzeň Plaza Amphitheater, Radčická, 301 00 Plzeň. Parking is available at the Plaza and Rychtářka parking garages or in sady Pětatřicátníků, approximately a 10–15-minute walk from the venue.

Lednice Castle
The performance takes place at Lednice Castle, Zámek 1, 691 44 Lednice, behind the castle in the Court of Honour or on the meadow. Public and private parking is available in Lednice, within a 10-minute walk of the venue.

Archbishop’s Castle Kroměříž
The performance takes place at the Archbishop’s Castle in Kroměříž, Sněmovní náměstí 1, 767 01 Kroměříž, in the Podzámecká Garden approximately 60 metres from the castle building. Parking is available on Velké náměstí or at the Vejvanovského and Blahoslavova car parks, within a 10-minute walk of the venue.

Opočno Castle Park
The performance takes place in Opočno Castle Park by the summer house, Zámecká 37, 517 73 Opočno. Parking is available on Kupovo náměstí or by the ice rink, within a 10-minute walk of the venue.

Veltrusy Castle
The performance takes place at Veltrusy Castle, Ostrov 59, 277 46 Veltrusy. Parking is available in the designated event car park by the castle.

Konopiště Natural Amphitheatre
The performance takes place at the Konopiště Natural Amphitheatre, Konopiště 4, 256 01 Benešov u Prahy. Parking is only available at the Konopiště 1 central car park or the Konopiště 2 car park below the castle. Please do not park elsewhere. Both are approximately a 10–15-minute walk from the venue.

Kačina Castle
The performance takes place at Kačina Castle, Svatý Mikuláš 51, 284 01 Kutná Hora. Parking is available at the castle car park by the Na Huse inn, approximately a 3-minute walk from the venue.

Hradec nad Moravicí Castle
The performance takes place in the courtyard of the Red Castle in Hradec nad Moravicí, Městečko 2, 747 41 Hradec nad Moravicí. Limited parking is available by the castle; additional parking is below the castle or in town, approximately a 10–15-minute walk from the venue.

Sychrov Castle
The performance takes place in the grounds of Sychrov Castle, State Castle Sychrov, 463 44 Sychrov, in the park behind the castle. Parking is available directly by the castle in the village of Sychrov.

Crown Fortress Olomouc
The performance takes place at the Crown Fortress in Olomouc, 17. listopadu 7, 779 00 Olomouc. Parking is available at nearby city-centre car parks, such as Tržnice, Šantovka or U Terezské brány, approximately a 10–15-minute walk from the venue.

Podzámecká Meadow Třebíč
The performance takes place on Podzámecká Meadow in Třebíč, Pod Zámkem, 674 01 Třebíč, below the castle by the river. Parking is available on Komenského náměstí, by the bus station on V. Nezvala Street, on Karlovo náměstí or Žerotínovo náměstí, a 4–11-minute walk from the venue.

Třeboň Castle Park
The performance takes place in Třeboň Castle Park, Zámek 115, 379 01 Třeboň. Parking is available on Masarykovo náměstí, Novohradská or Dukelská streets, by TOP Spin, Bertiny lázně or Tyrš Stadium, approximately a 5-minute walk from the venue.

Silesian Ostrava Castle
The performance takes place at Silesian Ostrava Castle, Hradní 1, 702 00 Slezská Ostrava. Parking is available at nearby city-centre car parks, such as the car park by the castle, approximately a 10–15-minute walk from the venue.
