James Belmont (Brad Pitt), a retired military expert, sets out into the Alaskan wilderness with his dog Odin (German shepherd Uber), also a war veteran. Their journey takes a dangerous turn when a medical emergency leaves James unable to control their small aircraft and they crash. The pair have already proved in a war zone that they can rely on each other completely. But can they overcome the perils of the Alaskan wilderness, where mortal danger lurks at every step—especially after both have been badly injured in the crash? With a return to civilisation their only hope of survival, they must embark on a journey that becomes a battle against nature at its harshest. But with a good companion by your side, anything is possible.
