Sněhová královna

ABOUT THE PLAY

Enter a fairy-tale world full of adventure, children’s laughter and icy winter!

Kai and Gerda are inseparable friends. One day a mysterious figure in a sleigh takes Kai away, and he forgets everything that was dear to him. Gerda sets out on a long and arduous journey through blooming gardens, dreamlike castles, robbers’ dens and the frozen north to find her friend and bring him home.

The road is full of obstacles, but also unexpected encounters and new experiences. Can her pure love overcome the power of the Snow Queen? One of Hans Christian Andersen’s most famous fairy tales tells of the strength of friendship, courage and growing up. Lena Pešák’s stage adaptation is accompanied by music by Beata Hlavenková, who set the picturesque verses of poet Josef V. Sládek to music. It is time to uncover the secrets hidden beneath the veil of a freezing winter!
