What does a country look like after the US military left in the second half of 2021 and an extremist, fanatical movement seized power, transforming the Islamic Republic into an Islamic Emirate? What is the status of local women and female foreign tourists? And why have playing music and singing been banned? Vladimír Váchal travelled to Afghanistan in the summer of 2025 and managed to visit many places in a country that has long ranked among the most dangerous in the world. Thanks to his knowledge of the local language, he also reached places that remain hidden from the small handful of foreign visitors. Come and see hundreds of photographs and hear stories about the ever-present fear woven through this unique, culturally rich landscape with its fascinating natural beauty. Afghanistan is full of Buddhist monuments, heavily armed fanatics, landmines, excellent food and incredibly warm people. This is not a traditional travel lecture, but a stand-up show about a country still regarded as the unconquerable graveyard of armies.
