The courage to accept the truth
With this one-act opera based on Oscar Wilde’s fairy tale, we revive Alexander Zemlinsky’s work a century after its Prague premiere. A century also recently passed since the foundation of Czechoslovakia, commemorated in 2018 with a production of Bedřich Smetana’s ceremonial opera Libuše.
