Madame Bovary
Theatrical adaptation of Gustave Flaubert's famous novel from 1857. A timeless story about the grayness of everyday life, daydreams and the ubiquitous advertising of happiness. Naive Ema longs for an exciting life and great love, which she only knew on the pages of romance novels. However, married to a prudent and caring country doctor, her dreams and rosy visions collide with the gray of everyday life. Ema is suffocated by ordinariness and banality, momentary excitements bring her outbursts of love, but even these do not correspond to her dreams.
