Folk Dress in the Areas of Leoš Janáček’s Interest

In an extraordinary fashion show, you will be introduced to folk costumes whose authentic forms Leoš Janáček could still encounter in certain regions. Walking through the localities of his folkloristic interest, we will discover the variety and functions of traditional dress – women’s, men’s, and children’s, for summer and winter, ceremonial, festive, as well as workwear. The presentation will be accompanied by expert commentary, with the atmosphere enhanced by the sound of a cimbalom ensemble.
