ABOUT THE CONCERT
Julian Rachlin is a phenomenon of our time. The child-prodigy violinist has also become a remarkable conductor and is currently chief conductor of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. We therefore look forward to our first meeting in May 2027, when his “ex Liebig” Stradivarius will shine and he will also lead the Prague Symphony Orchestra in purely orchestral works.
The programme includes Mieczysław Weinberg’s First Sinfonietta and Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony. In 2027, two hundred years after Beethoven’s death, his music remains present in each of us.
