Czech Chamber Music Society • Kirill Gerstein II
This programme features the “emperor of concertos” and its composer’s only concerto in a minor key, which was said to still have been a bundle of “blank pages and hieroglyphs” the night before its premiere. With Kirill Gerstein we will continue our celebration of the Beethoven anniversary with performances of his complete piano concertos. The programme presents three of them, each written differently, but all of them exhibiting a sensitivity to the beauty of the piano.
