ABOUT THE CONCERT
There is nothing quite like two worlds meeting. The charismatic Jussen brothers are justly celebrated for their perfect musical rapport. In this programme with chief conductor Tomáš Netopil, they make their first appearance with the Prague Symphony Orchestra and give the Czech premiere of Magnus Lindberg’s Concerto for Two Pianos. The Finnish contemporary composer is balanced by Sergei Rachmaninoff’s intensely personal view of the world and his intoxicating Second Symphony.
The concert is presented in cooperation with the Czech Academy of Sciences and under the patronage of H.E. Mina Noor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Czech Republic.
