Bach-Collegium Prague

St. John's Organ Cycle 3/25 | L. Hilscherová - mezzosopran

Lucie Hilscherová is a leading Czech mezzo-soprano, one of the most sought-after singers of recent years. She regularly performs at the most prestigious concert projects in the Czech Republic and abroad under the baton of, for example, Semyon Byčkov, Simon Rattle and others. Accompanied by Linda Sítková, she will perform a varied program with a significant representation of French music, for example, Ch. Gounod and M. Duruflé. Bach's great organ Prelude and Fugue in E flat major, which will commemorate the author's double anniversary this year, is a monumental and impressive Baroque gem - one of the author's most serious compositions with French influences and a brilliant contrapuntal rendition of a triple fugue, developing the motif of the divine trinity.
