ABOUT THE CONCERT
It is always inspiring to explore what lies beyond the horizon — in time, space and thought. Dresden is so close, yet not as close as it could be. In November, the outstanding Dresden Philharmonic comes to our season with its new chief conductor, the legendary Sir Donald Runnicles, and the exceptional soloist Emanuel Ax.
A renewed cultural connection is emerging between Prague’s Municipal House and Dresden’s beautifully restored Kulturpalast, complementing the links already created by trains and the river.
The concert is held under the patronage of H.E. Peter Reuss, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Czech Republic.
