Titan: Mahler's 1st symphony in Prague

ABSTRACT

Conducted by Manuel Tévar, the Atlántida Chamber Orchestra presents a compelling programme that brings together Spanish musical heritage and the Austro-German symphonic tradition. 

The concert features Manuel de Falla’s Concerto for Piano and Five Instruments, the world premiere of Albena Petrovic’s Fuego: Homage to Manuel de Falla, inspired by Ritual Fire Dance, and Constancio Hernáez’s evocative Reflejos de Córdoba.

The evening culminates with Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 "Titan" in Iain Farrington’s celebrated chamber arrangement, offering a fresh and revealing perspective on one of the great masterpieces of the symphonic repertoire.
