Eduard Tregler: Missa jubilaei
We cordially invite you to a performance of one of the best and most famous compositions by the Czech composer, organist and music teacher Eduard Tregler. Antonín Dvořák, with whom he shared a deep friendship, praised him for playing the organ "as if thunder were beating..." And this characteristic, captivating, untamed harmonic exuberance is also reflected in his compositions. Missa jubilae is a work of extraordinary musical beauty, full of surprising expressive and modulating transitions. The author intended it for a mixed choir accompanied by an organ, two trumpets and three trombones.
