This detective comedy revolves around a truly enormous sum of money. Its owner wanted his sole legitimate son Jacques to inherit it, but only on condition that Jacques himself become a father and continue the family line. So far, that has not happened. If it does not, the royal fortune is to be divided equally among all the original owner's illegitimate children. But how many of them are there, and where are they? The answer soon becomes clear. They begin to appear. They are racing against time and want their inheritance—at any cost. They must get rid of Jacques. After receiving threatening letters and telephone calls, he therefore asks his friend from the criminal police for help...

Bastards is a celebration of theatricality. Whatever the number of the deceased's illegitimate children, artistic director Milan Schejbal stages this perfect farce for you with only three actors.
