Petřín Tower - SKIP THE LINE
Petřín Tower, one of the most prominent landmarks of Prague, was built as part of the Jubilee Exhibition in 1891 as a loose copy inspired by the Eiffel Tower (at a ratio of 1:5). It is 63.5 metres high, and 299 steps lead to its peak, which is at the same altitude as the real Eiffel Tower. The view from its top overlooks not only the whole city, but on a clear day you can see nearly all of Bohemia. The e-ticket is valid for 30 days.

ABOUT PETŘÍN LOOKOUT TOWER
Petřín Tower, one of the most prominent landmarks of Prague, was built as part of the Jubilee Exhibition in 1891 as a loose copy inspired by the Eiffel Tower (at a ratio of 1:5). It is 63.5 metres high, and 299 steps lead to its peak, which is at the same altitude as the real Eiffel Tower. The view from its top overlooks not only the whole city, but on a clear day you can see nearly all of Bohemia.
An exhibition about the changes of the Petřín Hill in the past centuries.With the help of contemporary and historical photographs as well as period drawings and plans, a very ancient and now almost unknown phenomenon is presented - surface and underground mining on Petřín. The lively construction activity and social life at Petřín at the end of the 19th century is presented in the part of the exhibition dealing with the time of the tower's construction, the circumstances that led to its construction, the method of construction and the key role of the Czech Tourist Club. Historical plans show which Petřín paths were used by the first visitors to the tower, and thanks to the period clothing on display, visitors can get an idea of the style of dress and equipment worn by Prague's citizens and visitors in the last decades of the "long" 19th century.
INFO ABOUT TICKET
The e-ticket is valid for 30 days. The e-ticket does not include the use of the elevator.
Children up to 15 years must be accompanied by an adult. Youth between the ages of 16 and 26 and senior citizens aged 65 and over must show proof of age with a valid ID. Family ticket is valid for 2 adults and up to 4 children (6-15 years old).
The tower is partially accessible. Wheelchair access by elevator only up to the 20 m platform (the 51m platform lacks wheelchair manoeuvring space). Due to the narrow elevator door, there is a mechanical wheelchair available for visitors with an electric wheelchair.

HOW TO GET THERE
Nearest public transport stops: the Pohořelec tram stop and the Koleje Strahov bus stop
Options for getting to the top of Petřín Hill (extra caution is advised in winter):
-Tram to Újezd + Petřín funicular (the funicular is currently out of service!)
-From the Pohořelec tram stop, walk along Strahovská or Úvoz (a gentle incline)
-From the Koleje Strahov or Stadion Strahov stop, walk through the campus and Rose Gardens (an easy walk with no hills)
-From the Malostranské náměstí tram stop, walk along Tržiště and Vlašská (a steep incline, the path is not maintained in winter)
-From the Újezd tram stop, walk up Seminářská zahrada (a steep incline, the path is not maintained in winter)
Information centre of the Petřín Tower
Official tourist information centre run by Prague City Tourism. This Prague Visitor Centre is located directly on Petřín Tower premises and is open for domestic and foreign visitors and Prague residents 365 days a year.
Lighting: the tower is illuminated during the day and throughout the night, depending on dusk and dawn
