Janáček Ensemble | Czech Chamber Music Society

The third concert of our morning series will focus exclusively on wind instruments. The programme of the Janáček Ensemble includes a pivotal work by the composer from whom the ensemble has taken its name. Surrounding Janáček’s Mládí (Youth) are works by other 20th-century Czech composers: the jazz-influenced composer Jaroslav Ježek and Gideon Klein, who was denied the chance to develop his talent by the Holocaust.
